Richard LeRoy Foster, age 74 of Lamberton formerly of Walnut Grove, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Walnut Grove Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK and practice social distancing guidelines. A 50% indoor occupancy restriction will be maintained. 

Richard LeRoy Foster was born June 4, 1946 to Cecil and Clara (Shellum) Foster in Tracy, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.  Richard graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1964.  He farmed with his dad and helped neighbors when needed.  He enjoyed being the neighborhood mechanic.  Richard took care of his parents as their health declined.  He lived on the family farm until he moved to Valley View Apartments.  Due to his health, in April of 2020, he moved to the Valley View Manor.  Richard enjoyed old time music and liked to dance.  To pass the time he enjoyed playing solitaire and pinochle.  Richard loved watching TV, especially Hee-Haw and the Bandwagon. 

Richard is survived by his sister Marie Dallenbach of Lamberton; sister-in-law Annette Foster of Walnut Grove; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Clara, sister Leora Flesner, brother Allan Foster and infant sister Bonnie Joyce.
