Rosella “Rose” Goettig, age 82 of Tracy, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Tracy Area Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. 

Rosella “Rose” Goettig was born March 30, 1939 to William and Alma (Filter) Hoffman in Milroy, Minnesota.  She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith.  As a child her family moved around many times and she attended schools where they settled at the time.  She was a member of the Tracy Lutheran Church.  Rose was very versatile and worked many places.  On November 15, 1957, Rose married the love of her life Darold D. Goettig at Tracy Lutheran Church.  Rose’s love for music began when she was young.  She learned to play guitar by ear and later formed the “Hoffman Trio” with her mom and dad.   Rose enjoyed embroidery, gardening, fishing and hunting.

Rosella is survived by her children: Lonnie (Cindy) of Marshall, Jeff (Teresa) of Currie, Kelly Goettig, and Darin both of Tracy; grandchildren: Aaron, Derick, Amanda, Kayla, Nicholas, Emily, Laci, Noah, Austin and Coltyn; step-grandchildren: Toby, Aaron and Sally; and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Darold, sons Wayne & Duane, and grandson Kevin.
