Sue Ann Christensen, age 61 of Golden Valley, MN, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023 in Wabasso, MN. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Warrior Dog Rescue (WDR), an organization Sue loved dearly. With over five years with WDR, Sue fostered 23 dogs, adopting two of her own, Lily and Chancy. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sue Ann Christensen was born on November 17, 1961 to Julius and Helen (McCorquodale) Christensen in Redwood Falls, MN. After Sue graduated from Wabasso High School in 1980, she went on to study business administration at Southwest State University. After college, Sue moved to Denver, Colorado where she started her career as an executive assistant. Over the years, Sue gained numerous life-long friends while living and working in Denver, Colorado, Las Vegas, NV, Atlanta, Georgia and moving back to Minneapolis, MN in 2014. Sue will be remembered for her sense of style, smile, kindness and compassion for others.
Sue is survived by her sister, Mary Kay (Nick) Welu, brother, Bob Christensen, sister in law, Sandy (Tom) Christensen along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Helen, and her older brother Tom.
