Teresa Lea Johnson, age 62 of Redwood Falls, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at her home.  Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29. 2024 at the Cansayapi Rec Center on the Lower Sioux Community. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Teresa Lea Johnson was born August 10, 1962 in Tracy, Minnesota to James and Dorothy (Bluestone) Grunden. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School. Teresa was always a free spirit, finding peace and solitude in nature. She never shied away from hard work, in fact she enjoyed manual labor. Teresa could have a conversation with anyone, and you could bet it would be lengthy – she never met a stranger! Short in stature, Teresa was big energy in a tiny vessel. She lived freely on her own beaten path but was always willing to lend a hand. She would gladly go without if it meant someone else would benefit. She was most comfortable outdoors in nature and took endless photos of landscapes. She could always pick out images hidden within the clouds or rocks. Artistic and creative, Teresa found joy in the simple, small things in life. She lived life her way.

Teresa is survived by her children: Kelly (fiancée Erica) Pagel of Reno, NV, Eric Grunden of Slayton, Jonna Grunden of Minneapolis; grandchildren: Harmony Grunden, Melody Grunden, and Michael Hodges, Jr.; siblings: Alan (Mary) Grunden and Kim Amundsen; step-mother Kay Grunden; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father James, mother Dorothy, sister Kathy Rykhus; step-father Harlan Whipple; and brother-in-law David Amundsen.
