Virginia Mae Faltinson, age 87 of Marshall, formerly of Tracy, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 12, 2024 surrounded by family at Heritage Pointe Senior Living. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Virginia Mae Faltinson was born on May 18, 1937, on a farm outside of Marshall to Benjamin and Lydia (Bendix) Beadell. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo before moving with her family to Park Rapids and Detroit Lakes. Upon returning, Virginia graduated from Echo High School in 1955. After graduation, Virginia worked as a secretary for Lampert Yard in the Twin Cities for one year and then joined the Redwood County FSA office for six years. Virginia began attending local dances, which is where she met her future husband. On September 1, 1962, she and Dean Faltinson were united in marriage. Together they established Saratoga Station, a farm on the outskirts of Amiret, where they lived and raised their family. During their retirement, Virginia and Dean spent winters at their home in the Rio Grande Valley in southern Texas. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Virginia exhibited a deep faith in God and could often be found reading her bible. Her favorite passages were recorded by hand inside the cover of her bible. Dancing and playing cards with friends were favorite activities for many years, along with taking care of grandchildren anytime she was asked. Virginia showed love to her family through hugs, cooking, baking, and sewing clothing for them. As Dean’s business partner, she also spent time in the fields. Anyone who entered Virginia’s house was greeted with the same love and grace she showed to her family.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dean; her children: Julie Faltinson of Eden Prairie, MN, Connie (James) Girard of Brookings, SD, Glen Faltinson of Marshall, MN, and Sara (Eryk) Wangsness of Mankato, MN; 3 grandchildren: Jade, Grant, and Lyndsey; 3 siblings; Annette Anderson, Shirley Zimmer, and Donald Beadell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, son Alan Dean; siblings: Delphine Kautz, Alton Beadell, Evelyn Bleninger, Dorothy Beadell, Kenneth Beadell, Glorraine Erickson, and Ronald Beadell.

Rest in peace, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, knowing that you are loved and remembered as a child of God.
