Myrtle Doris Raddatz age 83 of Morgan was born to eternal life November 11, 2012 at Gil-Mor Manor at the age of 83 years, 7 months, 22 days.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan.

Visitation will be held 4:30-8pm Thursday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.  Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Myrtle Doris Kuehn was born January 20, 1929 in Sheridan Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to William and Sophie (Kloempken) Kuehn.  Myrtle was baptized at her parent’s home on January 24, 1929, and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN May 3, 1942.  She attended District #114 in Vesta Township through the eighth grade. On August 17, 1952, Myrtle was united in marriage to Orville E. Raddatz at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta.  After their marriage, the couple farmed the family farm in Redwood Township of Redwood County until they retired and moved to Morgan in 1992.  Orville died on January 9, 2001.  Myrtle moved to Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan on December 28, 2004.  Prior to losing her eyesight, Myrtle enjoyed reading, playing Solitaire, flowers, embroidery, and listening to music.  Throughout her life, she was a dedicated wife and mother and took special interest in her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren

Myrtle is survived by her daughters: Beverly (Bob) Hoffbeck of Clements, Evelyn (Delwin) Junker of Comfrey, Marilyn (Ben) Williams of Overland Park, KS, Karen (Quint) Dooley of Sioux Falls, SD, and Carol (Dave) Roberts of Aurora, CO; 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters: Irene Evers of Wood Lake and Diane (Harland) Asche of Willmar, and sisters-in-law: Pearl (Kuehn) Anderson, Elviera Raddatz, and Elaine Just and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville, sister Evelyn and brother Melvin (in infancy), and a brother Orville.
