Rose Marie Buller, age 90 of Redwood Falls, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial is in Crestlawn Memorial Garden. Memorials to Redwood Home Hospice or Evangelical Free Church are preferred in lieu of flowers. Rose Marie (Peterson) Buller was born May 11, 1926 at home in Murray County, Minnesota to Charles and Anna (Johnson) Peterson. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at Highwater Lutheran Church near Lamberton. Rose graduated from Storden High School in 1944. After graduation Rose worked as a switchboard operator in Fairmont. On August 31, 1948 she was united in marriage to Menno Buller. Together the couple lived in Mountain Lake and Glencoe, before moving to Redwood Falls in 1954. There they operated Menn-Rose Homes which later became Eastwood Estates. Rose enjoyed needlework in her younger years, flower gardening, baking, and feeding all her guests. She loved spending time with her family.
Rose is survived by her husband Menno of 68 years; children: Diane (Ken) Hagen of Anabel, MO, Joel (Char) Buller of Redwood Falls, Jodell (Tom) Russ of Silver Lake, and Bruce Buller of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Jamie and Justin Hagen, Krysti, Jake, Josh, TJ, and Andrew Buller-Russ, Brian and Brett Buller, and Trudi and Trevor Coulson; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters Alice Dehmlow of Wisconsin and Darlene Meyer of Mountain Lake; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Douglas, and brothers Harold Thompson, Lawrence and Earl Peterson.
My mother was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She has passed on to us her sacrificial love for family and others. We will miss her very much.
