Sandra Rae (Stevens) Polzine was born September 12, 1947 in Marshall, Minnesota to Raymond and Avis (Anderson) Stevens. She attended school in Tracy. On February 11, 1983 she married Donald Polzine at the Tracy Lutheran Church. Sandy loved to travel; she and Don saw many sights and spent time in Branson, MO, every year. She also loved spending time at the lake. Sandy enjoyed dancing, playing pool, and collecting angels. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and often played Nintendo games with them. Family time was always very precious to Sandy. She was happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. They were all very important to her.
Sandy is survived by her husband Don; children: LaRae (Kenny) Ackerman of Mankato, Michael (Stephanie) Persons of Shakopee, Kari (Dean) Beierman of Tracy, Hope (Russ) Edwards of Tracy, and Geri Erbes (fiancé Marc Mattson) of Balaton; step-daughters: Melissa (Kirk) Whiting of Bloomington and Madonna Peterson of Tracy; 15 grandchildren: Nate, Nick, Kendra, Mitch, Melanie, Matt, Andy, Lexi, Blaine, Lindsy, Alyssa, Bryce, Hailey, Allen, and Madi; 4 step-grandchildren: Ben, Brienna, Casey, and Jacob; and 4 great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Hudson, Audrey, and Colin. She is also survived by her brothers Roger (Jeanne) Stevens of Minneapolis and Douglas (Dona) Stevens of Barrett; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Sylvia “Sis” Peterson, and brothers Milo and Sonny Stevens.
My condolences go out to Sandy’s family. I have many fond memories of a very kind, caring, and fair person. The best ribs I have had came from Sandy’s kitchen.
