Stanley A. Lothert age 60 of Morton passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Morton. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Stanley Allan Lothert was born November 5, 1954 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Floyd and Della (Bloom) Lothert. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Morton. Stan graduated from Morton High School in 1972. On April 15, 1978 Stan was united in marriage to Brenda Edwards in Crystal, Minnesota. They lived most of their married life in Morton. Stan worked as a welder at Specialty Engineering for many years, and later at Redwood Metal Works. Stan loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren how to fix things, and his son-in-law how to adapt to the farm life. Stan was a member of the Morton-Franklin Saddle Club for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseback riding. Stan also liked watching the San Francisco 49ers football team and Nascar racing.
Stan is survived by his wife Brenda of 37 years; daughter Kelly (Jesse) Eischens of Taunton; grandchildren: Brandt, Trayten, Gage, and step-granddaughter Katelynn. He is also survived by his father Floyd Lothert of Morton; siblings: Steve (Lynette) Lothert of Morris, Dennis (Ginny) Lothert of Redwood Falls, David Lothert of Shakopee, Julie (Scott) Hoek of Comfrey, Kathy (Dean) Drexler of Willmar, and John Lothert of Morton; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death are his grandparents and mother Della.
