Thomas “Tom” Beran age 57 of Clements died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his home in Clements.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls with Rev. Janiece Redman officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service Friday from noon to 1:00 P.M. at the church. Private family interment will be in the New Avon Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to First United Methodist Church, FUMC choir, or NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Tom was born to Ted and Sara Beran in Redwood Falls on June 24, 1955. He attended Wabasso High School and graduated from Springfield High School. After studying at Canby Technical College, Tom returned to the family farm.

Tom was a generous and kind person who loved his family. He was treasurer of Three Lakes Township Board, served on the Springfield School Board, and was a member of the Clements Lions Club. Tom enjoyed his time singing with the choir at First United Methodist Church, and he faithfully served on the Stewardship and Finance Committee.

Tom is survived by his children, Nathan (Kylie) Beran, Matt (Rachel) Beran, and Heidi Beran, and their mother, Su Beran; grandchildren Lucy, Stella, Britton, and Luther Beran; father Ted Beran of Redwood Falls; sisters Kate (Mike) Robbins and Liz Beran, and brothers Jim Beran, Rich (Nancy) Beran, and Bill (Eileen) Beran. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Sara.
