Aurelia F. Wehler age 90 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Brewster, passed away on Wednesday, June 06, 2012 at the Redwood Area Hospital.  According to Aurelia’s wishes, a birthday celebration/ memorial visitation will be celebrated from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with Strawberry Swirl cupcakes.  Memorials are preferred to the Friends of the Animal Shelter.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Aurelia F. Wehler was born June 26, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Rudolf & Alice (Kasperek) Zajaczek.  She was united in marriage to Wendell Wehler on September 2, 1944 in Miami, FL by a US Navy Chaplain while Wendell was in the service.  Together the couple moved back to the family farm near Brewster, MN.  In 1982 they moved to Redwood Falls.  Aurelia supported numerous charities.  She was a longtime member of the Humane Society, and recently supported the Friends of the Animal Shelter.  Aurelia was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She loved games shows, especially “Wheel of Fortune”.  She enjoyed playing Bingo at Jackpot Junction Casino and spending time with her friends and family.

Aurelia is survived by her sons: Randall (Carla) Wehler of Spicer and Daniel (Wayne Sander) Wehler of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Jonathan (Monica) Wehler of Hutchinson and Karen (Jesse) Trana of Fargo, ND; great grandchildren: Isaac, Kennedy & Soren Wehler and Kaylee Trana; and many other relatives and friends.  Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Wendell on March 20, 2011 and sister Irene Chudson.
