I love knowing that I have two more beautiful angels watching over our family! They brought joy to so many people and I feel like a better person for being a part of their lives! 29. Thooft Family: My deepest sympathy to you and your family in your time of loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

  30. You’ll probably never understand why…why such young innocent souls…maybe they are your borrowed angels. They come along into this world to make your world brighter. But they can’t stay forever, sometimes heaven needs them back again.
From one mother to another whose lost children. My prayers and thoughts are with you. May God give you the strength you will need today and always.

  31. Matt and family, You are in my thoughts and prayers. We don’t have any kids, but I still couldn’t imagine what you are going through. I’ve been on the Tyler Fire Dept. for 12 years and luckily we haven’t had to respond to any calls like that. Being in a small town it’s so hard to separate the calls from everyday life. Again your family has our deepest condolences!

  32. Dear Thooft family: We have never met but as a mother who has lost a child I understand the deep pain and hole within your hearts. Don’t be afraid to cry when you feel the tears within your eyes, or laugh when something funny happens, or walk away when you need your space. People say time heals all wounds, but honestly in this situation I have learned that time doesn’t heal that empty feeling you have in your heart, it just makes each day easier to get out of bed. With tears in my eyes for you, I pray that God gives you the strength and comfort to get through what will be the hardest days of your lives.

  33. Chris,Lee,and the Girls

    Matt and Boo
Our deepest sympathy to your family. No words can express our sorrow. Just remember that Jesus said “Bring unto me the little children” Just know that you did your job of bringing them to Jesus. He just called them sooner than we liked. They will always be in our hearts and prayers.
    Chris,Lee,Bridget,and Gabby

  34. Lisa Mikkelson Steinert

  35. Nancy & Jerome Doyle

    Bernadette, Matt & family,
My heart aches for you and I am at a loss for words. There is nothing that I can say to ease your pain, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love & Prayers. Nancy & family

  36. Dear Thooft family,
I don’t know you but I am heartbroken. I don’t have kids of my own, but I have lost a sister and a goddaughter and the pain is very real. My heart goes out to you!! As one person said, Jesus said to “suffer the little children to come unto me”. We’ve been told to love the people in our lives with all of our hearts and to tell them that we love them because God is going to need them back someday. Obviously God has a plan for your beautiful little Hazel and Isaiah. They are Christmas angels. I know that doesn’t make you feel any better right now while the pain of their loss is still fresh, but one day it will all make sense and will bring you peace. God bless you with comfort and surround you with prayers!!

  37. Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your precious children. Our hearts goes out to the family because death is something we will never get used to. In fact God’s word refers to death as a enemy.
    ( 1 Corinthians 15:26).
Very soon our loving heavenly father will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again. ( John 5:28,29). May these words be a source of comfort during this difficult time.

  38. Bernadette, matt and kids-
When the kids and I saw your home on the news we KNEW before they even said it was yours that it was. We are so so sorry for all of your losses. Even though we haven’t been blessed to still be living close to you all we have never forgotten your family or your kindness. You are constantly in our thoughts and daily prayers along with many others who are praying for you. We are doing what we can to send you our love from far away.

    Always,
    Niki, naty, and Logan

It has been 35 years since I lost my children but I don’t think there is ever a day that I don’t think about them yet. They are a part of you and always will be no matter what. Please know that you are not walking this journey alone, there are many that are uplifting you in thoughts and prayers and will be there for you for a long time.
