Katie Sue Donaldson age 18 of Westbrook passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 30, 2015. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5 at Storden Baptist Church, 4011 United States Avenue, Storden. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday AT THE CHURCH and will continue one hour prior to services Thursday. Burial is in Storden Baptist Church Cemetery. Katie Sue Donaldson was born October 29, 1996 in Aurora, Colorado to Kathi (Smith) Quiring and Mark Donaldson. Katie was the joy of their lives. She attended Otero Elementary and Fox Meadow Middle School in Colorado Springs. Katie moved to Westbrook in 2010 and was currently a senior at Red Rock Central. She was recently accepted to Minnesota West College in Jackson to pursue a cosmetology degree. Katie was adventurous and had a big imagination. She lived life to the phrase “Live, Laugh, Love”. Katie always had a servant’s heart in that she always accepted people just as they were and never gave up on what they could become.
Katie is survived by her mother Kathi (Todd) Quiring of Westbrook; father Mark Donaldson of Denver, CO; grandparents Dallas and Mary Smith of Mesa, AZ and Louise Quiring of Windom; half-brother Marcus Stainbrook of Fargo, ND; step-brother Mitch (Misti) Quiring of Stillwater, OK; step-sister Hannah (Joseph) Fleenor of Slayton; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Donald Quiring, and great-grandparents Earl and Susie Kelly and Leroy and Doris Smith.
