Carol L. Grams age 76 of Westbrook passed away on Sunday, May 02, 2010 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center in Westbrook.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.

Visitation will be Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Westbrook Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.  Interment is in the Westbrook Cemetery.

Carol Lynne Grams was born September 20, 1933 in Walnut Grove, MN to Ervin A. “Pat” and Alice (Martens) Hartung.  She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Welcome, MN.  Carol attended Walnut Grove Schools and Minnesota School of Business.  Carol worked at the bank in Tracy prior to her marriage.  She married Orlen W. Grams on May 10, 1953 at Trinity  Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.  Orlen and Carol farmed by Revere and Westbrook.  She also worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.  In 1987 they moved into Westbrook.  Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the ELCA and choir.  Carol also served on the Library Board for the City of Westbrook.  Her hobbies included reading, baking, embroidery, gardening and canning.  Carol also enjoyed annual fishing trips to Nestor Falls, Canada; and spending time at the cabin she helped build at Whiskey Lake at Brandon, MN.  She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Everyone loved her special touch with backrubs.

Carol is survived by her husband Orlen W. Grams; children: Steven (Alan Nugent) Grams of Stockholm, WI, Deborah Jensen of Northeast Minneapolis, Joel (Melissa) Grams of Westbrook and Eric (Sally) Grams of Westbrook; grandchildren: Jacob (Jennifer) Grams of Browns Mills, NJ; Lindsey, Micaela and Gabriele Grams of Westbrook; great grandson Caleb; and sister Shirley Ann Sawyer of Mankato.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Marilyn Hartung, and grandson Lucas Grams.
