Jonette Jeppesen
Jonette Tootsie Jeppesen, age 88 of Westbrook, formerly of Windom and Heron Lake, passed away Sunday, March 6 at Sogge Good Samaritan in Windom.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Westbrook Funeral Home.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Windom. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jonette Tootsie Jeppesen was born April 2, 1922 in Heron Lake to John and Hattie (Flatebo) Metcalf. On February 19, 1944 she was united in marriage to Elmer Jeppesen. They farmed in Southbrook Township for over 25 years after their marriage. Tootsie and Elmer managed the VFW in Westbrook for several years. She was known for her great cooking and hospitality; everyone knew they could always drop in. Tootsie took many fishing trips, and enjoyed playing cards and doing word searches. She was very grateful to the people of Westbrook for their support in her later years. The family would like to thank Sogge Good Samaritan staff for their wonderful care.
Tootsie is survived by her children Barbara Leopold of Brooklyn Center, Gary (Vicki) Jeppesen of Fergus Falls, and Roger Jeppesen of Jeffers; 6 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; loving brother Mervin (Pat) Metcalf of Cologne; devoted sister Muriel Kipfer of Avoca; and many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, brothers and sisters: Melvin, Evelyn, Robert and Darrell.
