JoAnn Baden

JoAnn Baden JoAnn D. Baden age 85 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Jasper, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Sunwood Good Samaritan in Redwood Falls.  Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper.  Visitation is one hour prior to services.  Burial is in the Jasper Cemetery.    Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.

JoAnn Dena Baden was born to Fred Johann and Edna (Miller) Baden on August 28, 1931 in Jasper, Minnesota.  She was raised on a farm south of Jasper where she attended school.  After her graduation from Jasper High School in 1949, she moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and worked at a bank there for four years.  When she became ill, she returned to Jasper and lived with her parents.  In March 2006, JoAnn became a resident of the Jasper Sunrise Village.  She moved to Sunwood Good Samaritan in October 2012 where she has resided since.  JoAnn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper where she was baptized and confirmed.  She enjoyed embroidery, coffee visiting, and dancing.

JoAnn is lovingly remembered by her sister Marlys Verdoes of Redwood Falls; sister-in-law Veva Baden of Jasper; three nieces Rhonda Isaacs, Beth Opperman, and Lisa Asp; two nephews Randy Baden and Steve Verdoes; and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Gordon Baden, brother-in-law Gene Verdoes, and grandparents John and Clara Miller and Herman and Wilhemina Baden.
