Louise Arnold Louise Marie Arnold age 84 of Walnut Grove passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church and will continue one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Louise Marie Arnold was born November 24, 1928 on the family farm in South Brook Township, Cottonwood County, MN to Henry and Elizabeth (Boughman) Arnold. She was baptized at home and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Louise attended country school District 64 south of Storden and later Bean Lakes School northwest of Westbrook. She lived in South Brook Township for a number of years, then lived on the west side of Bean Lakes for three years, seven years north of Bean Lake, and then moved northwest of Walnut Grove in 1947 where she has resided since. Louise helped out around the home and farm all her life. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Louise enjoyed reading.
Louise is survived by nieces and nephews: Rebecca (Merlin) Peterson, Kevin (Kim) Arnold, Leone (Pat) Kavanaugh, LaVonne (Tom) Craft, Alson “Butch” (Shirley) Scarset, and Fay (Emiliano) Felipe; brother Roy Arnold of rural Walnut Grove; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl Arnold, sister Laura Mae Scarset, and niece Wyonne Holmes.
