Alexander “Alex” B. Valdez, age 87 of Westbrook, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at Westbrook Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alexander B. Valdez was born June 14, 1936 to Rafael and Eulogia (Garcia) Valdez in Allegan, Michigan. January 1986, Alex married Lynette Jacobs in South Sioux City, Nebraska. In loving memory of Alex B. Valdez Sr., a man of God, who peacefully departed this world. He spent years as a dedicated railroad foreman at the Indiana Harbor, leaving an indelible mark on the community. A compassionate soul, Alex was not only a loving dad but also a caring brother, cherished grandfather and great grandfather. His impact on both the professional and personal spheres will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. As we bid farewell, let us celebrate the legacy of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many. May his spirit continue to inspire and his memories live on in the stories we share.

Alexander is preceded in death by his wife Lynette (2018).
