Andrew “Andy” James Anderson, age 92 of Belview, MN died Friday, February 23, 2024, at Parkview Senior Living in Belview. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at Christ’s Victory Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 4:00–7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Vesta Cemetery. Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Andy was born May 22, 1931 in Burnstown Township, Brown County, Springfield, Minnesota to Thomas “Tom” and Anna (Gould) Anderson. Andy was baptized August 16, 1931 and  confirmed May 26, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Springfield. He attended country school and graduated from Springfield Public High School in 1949. Andy farmed in Bashaw Township southeast of Springfield and in Belview, and raised cattle and hogs. He married Florence (Luepke) Anderson and was divorced. On May 5, 1986, Andy married Pearl (Kreft) Kuehn in Sioux Falls, SD. They farmed together until retirement in 1996. After moving off the Belview farm to Redwood Falls in 2000, Andy enjoyed helping his nephews get the crop out and tinkering on projects in his shop. Andy found much joy in old time music, dancing, playing cards and visiting with relatives and friends. In later years, he enjoyed pancakes at Chumly’s, a burnt hamburger at noon at McDonald’s and another for supper at Burger King.

Andy is survived by his brother Tom “Bud” (friend Carol) Anderson and sisters-in-law Annette and Janice Anderson all of Springfield; 13 nieces and nephews; step children: Judy (Darwin) Pless, Joyce (Rick) Herman, and Janice (Eugene) Iverson; step grandchildren: Justin (Nicole) Pless, Kristen (Dan Schutte) Pless, Katherine (Nicholas) Brozek, Amanda Exferd, Holly (Franky) Koval, Sally (Chad) Hansen and Jesse (Melisa ) Heiling; 15 step great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Andy is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Anna, wife Pearl, brothers and sisters-in-law Darwin “Dick” and Norma, Lowell, Alan, and Bonnie.
