Arlene Sylvia Ott of Windom, Mn passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 89 years. At Arlene’s request there will be a private celebration of life at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service -Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Arlene Sylvia Ott was one of 9 children born to parents Hilda (Hanson) and Olaf Larson on July 24, 1934 in Jackson County, Mn. She also had 1 stepbrother and 2 stepsisters. On November 23, 1954 she was united in marriage to Carl Ott of Mountain Lake, Mn. They were married for 57 years. Their marriage was blessed with 2 sons, Steven and Monte. For most of their marriage they farmed and lived on the Ott family farm outside of Mountain Lake. Arlene and Carl loved to go dancing, roller skating, playing cards, going to rodeos, getting together with friends, and sharing laughs. Arlene was happiest when she was with family. One of her greatest joys was cheering on her grandsons and great grandchildren at their sporting events. She was so very proud of them. She also loved watching the Vikings and Twins on television. Arlene was hardworking and had a great sense of humor and positive attitude. She will be missed but not forgotten. Arlene’s husband Carl passed away on the farm on December 20, 2011 at the age of 77 years.

Arlene is survived by her sons Steven (Marva) Ott of Mountain Lake and Monte Ott of Windom, Mn; grandsons Stacy (Michelle) Ott, Ryan Ott and Kyle Ott; great grandson Carson Ott and great granddaughter Nevaeh Ott. She is also survived by her sisters Dori (Merritt) Peterson and Marlys Larson along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives too numerous to mention. Along with her husband Carl, she is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Truman, Arnold, Herbert, Verlyn and Larry, and sisters Gladys, Olive, Amanda, Eunice and many other relatives.
