Barbara Ellen Geddes was born May 6, 1931 to William F. Geddes and May (Clayton) Geddes in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. At age seven, she moved to St. Paul, MN with her family. Barb attended Murray High School and the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Child Psychology. There she met and later married Douglas Hagg. Barb was employed as a kindergarten, pre-school, and elementary teacher in Dawson, MN and as a substitute teacher in Redwood Falls. She also assisted her husband in his veterinary practice. Barb felt most blessed to work with three of the greatest loves in her life; her husband, children, and animals. She cherished time spent outdoors and embraced every opportunity to do so. Dancing and music brought she and Doug great joy. As a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Redwood Falls and Gideon’s Auxiliary, Barb was known for her devotion to the Lord, her family, and friends. Her sweet spirit and joyful, loving heart will be forever treasured.

She is preceded in death by Douglas, her husband of 63 years, and beloved son William.  She is survived by her children Jacqueline (Mike) Weaver, of Vienna, Austria and Carla (Barry) Becklin of Edina, MN; grandchildren Hosanna (Rob) Stump, Kristiana (Major Caleb) Goble, Captain Amelia Weaver, and Jonmichael Weaver; and nine great grandchildren.
