Brian Jon Marth, age 63 of Walnut Grove, joined his mom, dad and brother Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home with his dog Rosco by his side. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at Walnut Grove Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be in the North Hero Township Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brian Jon Marth was born August 17, 1961 to James Sr. and Alberta (Nordstrom) Marth in St. James, Minnesota, he was the youngest of three children. He was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith and attended New Ulm Public Schools. Brian met his future bride Ruth Schultz in New Ulm. They were united in marriage on June 24, 1995 at Christ the King Church in New Ulm. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion and Our Saviors Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Brian was an entrepreneur having worked in both the housing and road construction fields, agriculture, auto mechanic, lawn care, and as an over the road truck driver retiring as an owner operator. He was described as a “Jack of all trades, master of none.” You could often find him spending time in the shop or with his four-legged friends. He had a passion for all things that were motorized including cars, motorcycles, boats, 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, go-carts and collecting model cars. Brian loved going fishing, camping and enjoying a cocktail by the campfire. His passion for sports were evident as he cheered for his Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings teams. He would listen or watch any of the games no matter what team that was playing. Brian and Ruth made their final home together in Walnut Grove after living in Two Rivers, WI for thirteen years until all their daughters were finished with high school. They moved back to Ruth’s childhood home to be closer to Ruth’s father.

Brian is survived by his wife Ruth; daughters: Megan Larsen, Reba (Jon) Gamble, Kira Golden, and Nia (Matt) Winnekens; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Shirley Farasyn; favorite niece Amy Keech; nephew Tommy Keech; sister-in-law Carol Marth; brothers-in-law Randy Schultz and Richard (Becky) Schultz; and many other relatives & friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Justin Hartjes, brother Jim Marth, parents-in-law Richard & Roberta Schultz, and brothers-in-law Robert & Ronald Klein.
