Carol Ann “Cully” Dallenbach, age 72 of Walnut Grove, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 11, 2021 in Florida of natural causes.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso with a Facebook livestream at Stephens Funeral Service Facebook page. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment will be in the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Waterbury Township. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK and practice social distancing guidelines. A 50% indoor occupancy restriction will be maintained.

Carol Dallenbach was born July 22, 1948 to Ernest and Alma (Ellingson) Lawrenz in Marshall, Minnesota.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township.  Carol attended school in Wabasso and later graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1966.  On August 27, 1966, she married the love of her life James Dallenbach at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township. The couple moved to the family farm.  Together they farmed and raised their four children. Carol was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township.  She loved to travel, especially to Florida in the winter.  Carol cherished the time spent with her Yorkie, Elena.  You could often find her, doing word finds and watching court shows.  Carol loved spending time at the lake with her family and friends. She was known for being the first person to wish loved one’s “happy birthday” and saying “I love you to the moon and back.”  Family was the most important thing in Carol’s life.

Carol is survived by her children: Terry (Lisa) of Walnut Grove, Chad (Cindy) of Tracy, Tammy (Rick Serbus) of Wabasso, and Jaime (Matt) Schoper of North Mankato; grandchildren: Megan (Bryan) Weber, Tarynn (Mitchell) Jarmer, Nathan, Mason, & London Dallenbach, Chelsie (Brenden) Lundberg, Chase (Monica) Dallenbach, Carlie Dallenbach, Dylan, Tanner, & Karson Bock and Lexi & Lani Schoper; great grandchildren: Charlie & Cory Weber, Colten & Conor Lundberg, and Mellannie Dallenbach; brother Larry Lawrenz of Tracy; brother-in-law Dennis (Judy) Dallenbach & many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her dearly missed husband Jimmy, parents Ernest & Alma Lawrenz, and parents-in-law Walter & Minnie Dallenbach.
