Carole was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in 1961. On April 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Raymond Quade at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook. Following their marriage, they made their home on the family farm near Jeffers where they raised their family. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffers until it closed in 1997. When they moved to Westbrook, they became members of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Carole was a very active member of both churches and served as an officer in the Altar Society, taught CCD and was on the church council. Carole worked as an insurance agent at Roger Haar State Farm Agency and First State Agency until retiring in 2000. Carole and Raymond wintered in Mission, Texas for many years. Carole served on the Jeffers Cemetery Board and after moving to Westbrook she was a member of the Library Board, Heritage Health Care Foundation, and Kiwanis. She volunteered as a 4-H leader and at school when her children were students.
