Catherine “Nook” (Fagen) Albu was born March 19, 1936 to Wallace and Dorothy (Brown) Fagen in Redwood Falls. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School and continued her education to become a lab technician. Cathy married Eddie Albu at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview on April 8, 1956. They made their home on the farm where Cathy helped Eddie with the farming. For a short time, Cathy worked as a lab tech for Dr. Ceplecha at his clinic. Cathy was very involved with the community, assisting with Old Sod Days in Belview and coordinating the Red Cross Blood Mobile of Redwood County. For several years, she served on the Redwood County Fair Board. Cathy loved riding horse, doing crafts, playing cards, and she was often out and about as a Red Hat Lady.
