David J. Roby, age 59 of Tracy, passed away suddenly Monday, April 27, 2020 at his home of natural causes.  Private family services will be held Thursday, April 30.  Visitation will be held in small groups of 10 or less Wednesday, April 29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Tracy Area Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

David Jacob Roby was born December 4, 1960 to Donald and Bonnie (Christenson) Roby in Marshall, Minnesota.  He attended Cottonwood Elementary and Tracy High School.  David continued his education at Jackson Vocational College for Autobody.  He spent many years working at Tracy Ready Mix.  David then began trucking for Kane Transportation out of Marshall, for over 30 years, until his retirement due to his ailing health. David was an Ace mechanic and enjoyed telling stories with his friends.  He loved riding his Harley, going ice fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his siblings: Jesse (Deb) Roby of Tracy, Ronnie (Barb) Roby of Iowa Falls, IA, and Doranne Roby of St Paul; nieces & nephews: Robert, Linda, Kristen, Jenny, Kari, and Darren; uncle Jerry (Jeanette) Roby; aunt Sandy Gibson; best friend Pat Bruns; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Matthew & Eric Roby.
