David Raymond Hemerick was born December 13, 1944 in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He is the son of Leo and Johanna “Jane” (Blazinski) Hemerick and was raised on the family farm near Silver Lake. David was a graduate of Silver Lake High School in 1963. On June 24, 1967, David was united in marriage to Rosalie Lueck at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He was a history buff, specifically interested in WWII and the Old West, and enjoyed reading and watching documentaries. David also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which always brought a smile to his face.

David is survived by his daughter Michelle (Mike) Woodford of Redwood Falls; grandsons: Nathan (Melanie) of Albert Lea and Nick (Sierra Wagner) of Redwood Falls; great-grandchildren: Levi & Ty, and Jameson; brother Jerome (Elaine) Hemerick of Silver Lake; sister-in-law LaVerna Hemerick of Hutchinson; and many other relatives and friends.
