August 6, 1961 - May 26, 2026

Memorial Services: will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. The family encourages folks to wear a favorite pair of jeans and a t-shirt to the service in recognition of David’s no-nonsense style.

Visitation: one hour prior to the services at the church

Burial: will take place in the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery – Redwood Falls

Peace be with you Schwaegerl family! Dave was a great friend and classmate of '79! Dave was a great motor-head buddy too! I would have never gotten a motorcycle if it wasn't for him! His rides were precious to him but for some reason he let me experience them too! His KZ650 and his Yamaha snowmobile! Then, again, he blazed the trail to join the Air Force! A year after high school, I was contemplating joining too and I needed to see and experience it first, so I drove to Minot to get the real story from Dave! This great friend and mentor will be sorely missed!
