After serving his country for two years he was honorably discharged. Don lived in the Twin Cities and worked at an acid engraving circuit board business for two years. Don also worked for the township as a grader. Don and Jan loved to travel, especially with family and friends. They toured Europe, where they visited Don’s cousins in Luxembourg, Germany. The couple also enjoyed an Alaskan cruise and often wintered in Florida, Arizona, Texas and Colorado. Don was a member of the Dovray American Legion and volunteered for the Dovray Fire Department. He was also on the Pleasant View Cemetery board for numerous years, where he did maintenance. Don was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray.
