Elaine Vagle, age 75 of Redwood Falls, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  

Elaine Viola (Linde) Vagle was born October 2, 1946 to Gerhardt and Nora (Scheer) Linde in Clarkfield, Minnesota.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.  In 1964, Elaine graduate from Olivia High School.  On February 14, 1995 she was united in marriage to Doug Vagle at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  She was a quality manager for Control Data, Zytec, Artesyn and Daktronics, all in the same building over the years.  Elaine was a long time member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  She was active in Al-Anon over the years.  Elaine enjoyed spending time at Norway Lake and going fishing.  You could often find her enjoying her flowers and wildlife in her backyard or tending to her garden.  She loved spending time with her family, friends and cats.

Elaine is survived by her husband Doug of 27 years; sons Steve Johnson of Olivia and Jason Vagle of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Heather (Brian) Thielen, Cody Johnson and Taylor Clark; sisters Norma (Gary) Anderson and Marlene (Harvey) Wallert; sister-in-law Ruth Linde; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren Steven Johnson and Madison Vagle, brother Norman Linde, and first husband Harold E. Johnson.
