Elvera Ovre, age 91, of Redwood Falls, MN, went to her eternal home to be with Jesus on June 25, 2025. Private family services will be held at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elvera Mae Liebe was born Oct. 27, 1933, in rural Swift County, MN, to Robert and Lydia (Ninnemann) Liebe. She was raised in the Appleton area, attending country school through the 8^th grade, and then graduated with the class of 1951 from the Appleton High School in Appleton, MN. After high school, Elvera went on to Normal School-Teacher’s Training in Madison, MN, and then taught grade school for 2 years in Correll, MN.

On Aug. 6, 1954 Elvera was united in marriage to Winton Ovre at the First Baptist Church of Appleton. Elvera was a devoted home-maker, wife and mother to their 4 children.

 Elvera was a woman of unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her daily life was a living testament to that faith. She was baptized July 21, 1946, at the age of 12, as a public proclamation of her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. God and family were of the highest importance to her.

 Elvera’s favorite pastimes were reading, especially the Bible and devotionals, word search puzzles, and visiting with friends and family. She would never turn down the offer of a good game of Scrabble. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, crocheting, and baking cookies with her grandchildren and daycare children.

Elvera is survived by her children: Warren (Ava) Ovre of Montevideo, MN, Eloise (Daniel) Loose of Lamberton, MN, Wesley (Min) Ovre of Rapid City, SD, and Curtis Ovre of Redwood Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband of 46 years, her parents, and her sisters Luverne Johnson and Doris Liebe.
