Gertie was a dear friend for well over 50 years. When we first became acquainted, she and Ray and Lloyd and I were attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Westbrook. We later moved to Marshall (1968) but our friendship continued and we enjoyed many good visits, took a few vacations together, Lloyd and Ray did some work together and whenever we four would be together, the coffee pot was always on! I was able to keep in touch with Gertie when she moved closer to Barb, through some thoughtful Westbrook friends who would offer a ride to me, often, when they would go visit her. I will miss her dearly....she was a special friend. I extend my sympathy to the Gertie's family and loved ones. Donna Dunlap Marshall
