I met Hazel & Bob when David was one of my first students when I moved to Redwood. I loved their parenting style and zest for life. I also knew Hazel throughout our Redwood years in Study Club & other activities. Then when my mom moved to Garnet Gardens, Hazel & my mom became friends. She was a special lady who enjoyed life throughout all of its stages. She will be greatly missed. Special prayers to all of you, especially David.

Hazel was a beautiful outside as she was inside. I loved to listen to her talk in her beautiful Southern way. She always had something kind and thoughtful to say. Many years back when she was having a garage sale, down sizing to Garnette Gardens, I bought a large picture from her. It reminded me of a "Monet". I have looked at it almost daily and always thought of Hazel, now it will mean even more to me! Hazels' son Tom was a friend of my husband's, Richard Sander. Hazel had a beautiful well lived life by the honoring Eulogy written by the family. Her family had a special Mom and Grandmother. Hazel is now with her loving husband.

I got to know Hazel when my parents moved to Garnette Gardens. (I actually graduated with Steve and always hoped I’d run into you, Steve, on at least one of my visits, but sadly that did not happen!) Your mom was a such a dear sweet lady and I loved visiting with her. I’m happy that she and my dad, Herb, became friends and had some fun times over the years. My deepest sympathy to all of you who loved her so much. I’m sure you will feel her loss deeply. Sincerely, Tori Kroger
