Ila Mae Rohlik was born October 27, 1939 at home in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County, Minnesota, to Edward and Myrtle (Stage) Eis. She was baptized on November 30, 1939 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Seaforth and also confirmed there on May 11, 1952. She attended country school District 80 in Sheridan Township, and then graduated from Wabasso High School. On September 5, 1959, Ila Mae married Gerald Anthony Rohlik at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth. The couple made their home on Gerald’s family farm until 1999 when they moved to the house by Seaforth. Ila Mae was a homemaker, raising their 5 children and working alongside her husband with the dairy and in the fields farming the land. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth until its closing, and then became a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Ila Mae was active in the church as a CCD teacher and held many positions in CCW including vice president, president, International affairs, and historian. She volunteered at Seaforth Polka Days and the Legion affairs and was an election judge for Seaforth for many years. She took great joy in flower and vegetable gardening, canning, and making meals for her family. She was still bringing meals to the men in the fields this Fall. Ila Mae loved listening to Mollie B Polka Music and Irish singer, Daniel O’Donnell. In her younger days, Ila Mae enjoyed country western dancing. She made many beautiful quilts, and loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Ila Mae is survived by her children: Ann Rudenick of Seaforth, Jeffrey (Kelly) Rohlik of Vesta, Dale (Sue) Rohlik of Wabasso, Chris (Michelle) Rohlik of Vesta, and Lee (Debra) Rohlik of Vesta; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way; siblings: Paulanett Rohlik, Dick Eis, and Bernadine Pistulka; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, son-in-law Dean Rudenick, granddaughter Jennifer Rudenick, sister Marie Eis (died in infancy), and siblings-in-law Dianne Eis, Peter Rohlik, and Emery Pistulka.
