James “Jim” Pourchot was born June 3, 1951 to Eugene and Norma Pourchot in Taylorville, Illinois.  He graduated from Adams High School in Adams, Wisconsin.  Jim served his country in the U.S. Army following graduation.  In 1988, he married the love of his life, Susan, but they enjoyed life side by side since they met in 1980.  The couple lived in many different places as his job in construction took them.  Jim built many custom homes and took pride in his work.  He was a great craftsman and always strived for perfection.  He enjoyed metal detecting and was a dove hunting fool.  Jim was an outdoors man and loved hunting of all kinds.  He is now reunited with his hunting dog, Ham.

James is survived by his wife Susie; children: Sunny (T) Trevino, Sonja Hoops, Travis (Sarah) Pourchot, Cole Pourchot and Shelley Benincasa; many grandchildren; four great grandchildren; father Eugene; siblings: Linda (Gary) Nesvacil, Becky (John) Howland, Jeff (Juanita) Rogers, Mary Walters, Judy Amidon and Jason (Melinda) Pourchot; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and grandson Aaron Brothwell.
