Jerome Benedict Schoen, age 62 of Redwood Falls formerly of Morton, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 2, 2023 at his home.  Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jerome Benedict Schoen was born July 29, 1960 to Jerome Joseph and Corinne (Leith) Schoen in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church on the Lower Sioux.  Jerome attended Morton High School and later took classes to acquire his CDL in Rosemount, MN.  He loved being a truck driver and living life on the road.  To pass the time he enjoyed listening to music, his favorites included classic country and Elvis. On January 8, 2003 he was united in marriage to Olivia Resendez in Las Vegas.  When he wasn’t trucking, you could often find him fishing or out on the golf course.  He enjoyed trips to Menards and playing slots at the casino.  Jerome loved spending time with his family at barbeques and gatherings.  He especially cherished his time with his grandchildren.  Jerome was a very generous man and would do anything for anyone.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to CentraCare-Redwood Area Hospice and nurse Karley.

Jerome is survived by his wife Olivia; daughter Kristi Schoen; stepson Ronald Wadena; grandchildren: Nizhoni Schoen and Phillip Delapaz; sister Patti Schoen; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepdad Albert Lucio, daughter Stephanie Taylor, stepson Arthur Wadena, brother Barry Lyle Schoen and sister Lori Schoen.
