Joanne D. Luttman age 78 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Lamberton, passed away while surrounded by her family on Monday, January 24, 2022 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center after a six year battle with Lewy body dementia.  Joanne was under the loving care of Carris Health Redwood Hospice.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.  Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. 

Joanne Luttman was born January 3, 1944 to Art and Harriet (Stein) Buetow in Lyon County, Minnesota.  She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed at Sharon Lutheran Church.  Joanne graduated from Lamberton Public Schools.  On September 16, 1961, Joanne married the love of her life Jerry Luttman.  The couple moved to Redwood falls in 1967, where Joanne began working at Control Data.  Joanne later worked for MPI, Zytec and Artesyn and retired in 2001.  Joanne’s hobbies included collecting porcelain figurines, dolls and ceramic angels. Joanne and Jerry cherished their time spent on Lake Amelia after their retirement.  The couple enjoyed traveling with close friends and family.  Joanne loved spending time with her family and going on vacation with her husband of 60 years.  Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, who will be missed by her family and friends.

Joanne is survived by her husband Jerry Luttman; daughters: Jolene (Mike) Panitzke and Jill (Nick) Allen; grandchildren: Tiffany Breitkreutz, Brady (Teri) Panitzke, Tiana (Joshua) Iverson, Jamison (Jennifer) Panitzke, Marissa (Erik) Sveum, Joshua (Kayla) Day, Kyle, Lexi & Jackson Day; great grandchildren: Kassie (Tanner) Roehr, Kaden, Kynlee & Kallen Breitkreutz, Rylee & Maverick Panitzke, Isabella, Nolan & Brekkan Iverson; Chloe & Colton Panitzke, Jaden, Keelie & Ella Vanhee, and Charlotte, Dawson & Wyatt Day; great great grandson Cohen Roehr; sister Gloria (Merle) Steffen; in-laws: Judy Kuehl, Shirley Luttman, Jeanne (Jim) Eykyn, and John Luttman; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Art & Harriet Buetow, sister Kay Scott, infant sister Rita Jean Buetow, parents-in-law Ross & Arthora Luttman, brothers-in-law: Jim Luttman, Jim Kuehl and Win Scott, and sister-in-law Jane Luttman.

The family would like to thank Carris Redwood Hospice staff and River Valley Health and Rehab staff.  Thank you to Pastor Bryant Kaden, Pastor Sulzle, Pastor Green, and Chaplain Nelson for the spiritual care and support.
