My deepest condolences to Kari's family. I worked with Kari on inpatient rehab and am very saddened to hear the news of her passing. Please know you and Kari are all in my prayers.

There are no words to explain how shocked and saddened I was to learn that this beautiful, caring young lady has passed from our world. I had known Kari her whole life. Her parents are special friends of mine. I had a super fun visit with Kari and her friends one year at Waldorf College homecoming. She was a physical therapist at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD, where she enriched the lives of all her clients. When I was at the hospital there in 2014, and Ronnie was dying, Kari made the effort of finding us. She comforted both of us, and was extremely helpful to me for this difficult time in my life. She was such a blessing to everyone in her world during her 39 years of life. She will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her! Thanks to God for giving us this beautiful child in our world.

Was shocked and so sorry to hear about Kari’s passing. Kari lived just next door on 3rd Ormseth our freshman year at Waldorf and I also had the privilege of traveling to Oxford with her our Senior year! So many wonderful memories of the experiences and adventures we shared. Praying for all of you during this difficult time.

Don, Carolyn and Brennan- I am so very sorry to hear of this. I will always remember Kari fondly as one of the best kids to “babysit”. May you find some peace today and always knowing you have an enormous community of love and prayer surrounding you.

Shocked, stunned...at the news. President Eisenhower, a man who saved the free world, then led our country for eight years, had a full life, and even he once said, "there's no tragedy in life like the death of a child. Things never get back to the way they were." There's nothing I can say, that hasn't been said, nothing I can do, that hasn't been done, to help you pick up the pieces. But know that my thoughts, memories, and deepest, deepest condolences are with you all from all of the way out here in Colorado. Kari touched alot of lives and that will never change.

Greetings I am one of the faculty in the USD Physical Therapy Program where Kari completed her physical therapy training. Kari was a wonderful person, and served as an excellent clinical instructor to our students when they completed clinicals under her at Sanford in the rehab unit. We will certainly miss Kari sharing her love of people and the profession with our students. Please know that your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sincerely Joy Karges-Brown Professor & Director of Clinical Education University of South Dakota Physical Therapy Program

My heartfelt sympathy to all of Kari’s family and friends. I had the privilege of working with Kari on rehab. Although I am prn, whenever I worked Kari always made a point to greet me and see if I needed anything. We enjoyed many conversations of her trips to Az. Her smile was infectious. She will be deeply missed!

Dear Don, Carolyn, Brennan and family. We are in deep schok after hearing about the sad loss of Kari. We can’t imagine your dispair. We are so lucky we got to know her. We have followed her life through your Christmas letters during many years and were lucky to meet her in 2017 in Norway. What a wonderful girl! With love from Norway: Synnøve, Gunn Berit and Jes

I worked with Kari at Sanford for three years. I kept in touch and saw her at Adaptive Sporting Events when she was able to volunteer. She was one of my favorite Physical Therapist to work with. Always willing to do what was in the best interest of the patient. I will miss her. Peace to all of you as you grieve your loss.

Don, Carolyn, Brennan and family - I truly don’t really know what to say. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I have nothing but good memories as I think about my friendship with Kari. She is truly one of the kindest, most generous, genuine people I’ve ever met and I am absolutely heartbroken. I am so thankful for her help with things the past few months and will never forget her “check-ins” and words of encouragement. I am so glad we were able to have more conversations again recently. Please know I am praying for you and would love nothing more than to give you all big hugs.
