Konrad Jay Tellinghuisen – devoted husband, poppa, father, brother and friend. Age 60, of Lower Sioux/ S. Minneapolis, MN passed peacefully on June 29, 2026, with his loving wife and family by his side. An all-night wake will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 at the Cansayapi Rec Center on the Lower Sioux Community, and will continue until the service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7. 

Konrad Jay Tellinghuisen was born July 31st 1965 in Sisseton SD, a member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. He was the son of Doris Greely & Earl Tellinghuisen. Konrad had been a blackjack dealer for many years and also bartended in Clements MN. Konrad enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, watching his grandsons play basketball, playing pool, and in his younger years, dancing and playing drums. 

Konrad is survived by his beautiful wife, Rita M. Tellinghuisen; daughters: Taralyn M Blue and Arielle L Leith; son Konrad Jay Tellinghuisen Jr., all of Mpls; mother-in-law Geri Leith; sisters: Kim Jean, Pam, Laurie and Lynette Tellinghuisen of Pipestone MN, Rochelle of Mpls, Monica and Shannon Blue of the Lower Sioux; brother: Steven (Veronica) Pacheco and their children Marissa and Aneas Pacheco; grandkids: Akira Aude, Kahlil Aude, Kenji Tellinghuisen, Roland Arredondo, Killian Aude, Aurora Arredondo, Ophielia Tellinghuisen, and Kalila Tellinghuisen. He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Donald; father, Earl Tellinghuisen; brothers: Kevin, Todd, and Keith Tellinghuisen; and grandson Atreyu Corbett.
