Kurt James Fowler, age 63 of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on August 15, 2025 at Emerald Crest Memory Care in Burnsville. Memorial Services will be on Wednesday, August 20^th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook, MN, with a visitation held 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Westbrook Cemetery.

Kurt was born on July 20, 1962, to James and Barbara (Schweim) Fowler in Westbrook. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. Kurt grew up in Westbrook with his brother Lee and in 1980 graduated from Westbrook High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1984. While in the Navy Kurt was on the USS Caron, (that ship was a destroyer). After serving in the Navy, he attended Hutchinson vocational school. Kurt was employed as an electronics technician at Collins Aerospace in Burnsville for 35 years, until he retired in 2020 due to health issues. Kurt was always up for an adventure including riding his motorcycles, mountain hiking, skydiving, scuba diving in Fiji islands, skeet shooting, and riding his bicycle to enjoy nature. His prized possession was his 1989 red Mustang. Kurt loved to travel and recent trips were to Arizona and Idaho. He also had an eye for photography and was very particular when shooting pictures. Kurt also enjoyed a wide variety of music and would often comment my stereo is “top-of-the-line”.

Kurt is survived by his mother Barbara of Westbrook; brother Lee of Shakopee; nephew Jeffrey; his family Amy, Jamie, and Cameron of White Rock, New Mexico; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father James. Blessed be his memory.
