Linn James Morse, age 67 of Morton, formerly of Olivia, passed away peacefully Friday, June 20, 2025 at Franklin Restorative Health Care Center of natural causes. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a sharing of memories to follow. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Linn James Morse was born January 24, 1958 to Merland and Earlys (Dermer) Morse in Olivia. He attended Olivia Public Schools, where he was on the wrestling team. Linn graduated from there in 1976. On August 23, 2013, Linn married Emma Jane Field at the City Park in Morton. He was a member of the ASPCA and Links of Springfield disc golf course where he played in tournaments. Linn was instrumental in building the disc golf course at Johnson Park in Redwood Falls. He enjoyed watching Judge Judy, fishing and playing darts, pool and poker. Linn was an entertainer at heart – always making people smile. He was a baker, making pancakes from scratch. Being a problem solver, Linn was a great handyman. Linn’s memory lives on with disc golf and fishing at Mound Creek.

Linn is survived by his wife Emma; children: Anthony & Michael Morse; step-children: Jonathan Timms & Cheyenne Koll; grandchildren: Ripley, Earlys, Melody, Syarrah, Jacob, Samantha, Maiara, JJ (Squeak), Joshua, Willow, Millie & Arthur; siblings: John (Rhonda) Morse, Dawn (Lowell) Alabaugh, Jean Jacobs, Gary (Patti) Morse and Mary (Don) Swoboda; and many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Merland and Earlys.
