Margaret “Marj” Parks, age 79 of Redwood Falls formerly of Duluth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Carris Health – Redwood Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls with loved ones by her side.  Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.  

Margaret Jean Parks was born April 16, 1942 to William and Kathryn (Thompson) Howes in Knife Falls Township, Carlton Co., Minnesota.  She graduated from Duluth Central High School and continued her education at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie.  Later, she worked as a medical transcriptionist.  To pass the time she enjoyed reading and baking.  Margaret was a very loving and “hands-on” mother and grandmother.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Margaret had a wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile that will always be remembered. 

Margaret is survived by her children: DeeAnna Ellenbaum of Victoria, Daniel Parks of Minneapolis, Dean (Tracy) Parks of Watertown and Dawn Parks of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: James Dean Froemming II, Nicholas (Jessica) & Jennifer Ellenbaum, Steven & Ashley Timm, Robert “B”, Reese, Landon, and Brody; great grandchildren: Jayla, James, Jazzy and Kayden; and sisters: Carol Wiener and Patti Dunlap both of Cloquet. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Nancy Howes, Edward Howes and Mary Blackwell.
