Marilyn Eileen (Ousky) Schwan was born in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Thomas A. and Mattie (Meyer) Ousky. She was confirmed at St. Mary Catholic Church in Seaforth and graduated from Redwood Falls High School. As a girl, Marilyn enjoyed playing piano. She worked at Raine’s Café in Marshall where she met her husband Robert Schwan. Marilyn enjoyed working with numbers and was bookkeeper for Schwan’s Dairy for many years. Family was very important to her. After she and Bob divorced, she moved in with her parents to help care for them. She loved children and babies; at family gatherings, you would find Marilyn holding the babies. She loved driving and also playing cards. She enjoyed water skiing behind her boat “The Lady Bug”. There were many fond memories of time spent at Cottonwood Lake – skiing, picnicking and swimming. Marilyn taught her nieces and nephews to ski.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Norman (Brenda) Ousky; sister-in-law Janet Ousky, nieces and nephews: Cathy Ousky, William Ousky, Laurie (Robin) Fish, Tom (Jill) Ousky, Theresa (Ron) Gilland, Jolene (Chuck) Steffl, Jeff (Stacy Helmer) Ousky, Deb (Pat) Johnson, and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Dwayne.

Blessed be her memory.
