Michael Timm was born on November 25, 1962, to Raymond and Cecelia (Deming) Timm in Wabasha, Minnesota. He graduated in 1981 from Denver High School in Iowa. Mike served in the US Air Force as a medic for 10 years from 1982-1992. It was during this time that his son Jacob was born. His military career positioned him in Altus, OK for several years, then on the island of Crete in Greece for his last two years. Mike received his honorable discharge and returned to Minnesota. He attended Southwest Technical College in Pipestone, where he met Penny Blanchette. The two were united in marriage on September 2, 1995 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden and they were blessed with three daughters. They spent 25 years together and later separated. Mike also worked at JBS in Worthington for a number of years. He moved to Arizona and attended the Golf Academy, where he became a golf professional, leading him to work at country clubs in Worthington and Owatonna. He was a member of the Storden Area Men’s Club and Storden American Legion, and served on the city council, the golf board and as Mayor of Storden for several years. Mike’s passions were centered around golf and spending time with his daughters. You could often find him playing golf, watching golf and teaching golf, earning him the title of three club championships at the Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Mike is survived by his son Jacob (Emily) Timm of Houston, TX; daughters: Bailey, Brooke & Josie Timm all of Storden, MN; granddaughters: TylerJo, Parker, Brady & Finley Timm; sister Jane (Jerry Tuinenga) Timm; and many other relatives & friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Cecelia Timm, and his brother Fr. James Timm.
