Paul Anthony Neudecker was born to Aloy and Elizabeth (Schilling) Neudecker on March 26th, 1947, at the Redwood Falls Hospital.  He was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Clements, MN and grew up on his family farm just outside of Clements. Paul graduated from St. Anne’s Catholic High School in 1965.  He then entered the United States Air Force in 1966 and spent the next 4 years serving his country in Vietnam and Guam.

Paul married his best friend and soul mate JoAnn Steinbeisser on October 8th, 1966, and were married for 59 wonderful years. They first made their home in Phoenix Arizona, then in Marquette, MI while in the Air Force.  In 1970 he was honorably discharged and they spent time living back in Minnesota in Clements and then to Morton, where they settled for the remainder of his life. They welcomed their wonderful daughter, Shelly, into their lives on April 19th, 1971. Shelly was the light of his life, and in later years, his son-in-law, Jason as well.

Paul worked at Peterson Well Company, Monsanto and Warrior Manufacturing where he retired in 2010.  Paul was known for his mechanical mind and ability to troubleshoot anything. Not only did his employer depend on him for this, his family did as well. There wasn’t a challenge he couldn’t tackle and win.

Paul was a devoted husband, loving father and a good friend to many.  Spending time with family and friends was very important to him. Paul and JoAnn enjoyed traveling, camping, motorcycling, hunting, fishing and in later years 4-wheeling with friends and family. Paul was also known for his smile and his kind heart. He would do anything for anyone and loved helping people. His faith was very important to him. Paul had many family members who were strong examples of that faith, and he passed that faith on to his family.  In his younger years, he was actively involved in Saint John’s Catholic Church.

Paul leaves behind his wife, JoAnn; daughter, Shelly (Jason) Curtis; grand-dog, Griffin; siblings-in-law, Janet & Don Carbert; and many other family and friends. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Aloy and Liz Neudecker; parents-in-law, Joe and Lil Steinbeisser; and many other family members.

Paul will be extremely and forever missed by his family and anyone who had the fortunate opportunity to know him. Blessed be his memory.
