Ramona Schiller, age 85 of rural Redwood Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at her home, with family by her side. Ramona (Wolf) Schiller was born November 7, 1937, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to Ernest and Johanna (Feist) Wolf. She attended school in Redwood Falls and Sanborn and graduated from Sanborn High School. On May 19, 1957, Ramona was united in marriage to Wayne G. Schiller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Springfield. In January 2017, Ramona and Wayne celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and their 80th birthdays. Together the couple lived and farmed in Redwood County and settled in Paxton Township in 1965. Ramona’s dream was to be a wife and mother, and God blessed her with a wonderful husband, six children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family. She was a great cook, and enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidery, and watching Vikings football. After her children were grown, Ramona worked in the kitchen at Wood Dale nursing home and later as a clerk at Hallmark where she formed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. The Hallmark bunch began gathering for monthly lunch dates which they still do to this date. Always a classy woman, Ramona looked forward to her weekly appointments for her hair and nails. Christian faith was of utmost importance to her, and she was a founding member of Christ’s Victory Lutheran Church. Over the years, she taught weekly religion classes and participated in regular Bible Study. Ramona loved attending sports, concerts, and activities for her children and grandchildren.

Ramona is survived by her children: Jeff (Linda) of Redwood Falls, Randy of Abu Dhabi, Chad (Tina) of Cottage Grove, Kristi (Bryan) Hagert of Redwood Falls, Kim (Rick) Maurer of Morgan & Kelly (Craig) Hillier of Lakeville; 16 grandchildren: Jamie (Lee) McClary, Megan (Brent) Henning, Jared (Ann) Schiller, Nicole (Adam) Hurrle, Tyler Heiman, Cale Schiller, Brady (Jamie) Hagert, Bo (Maren) Hagert, Blake (Maisie) Hagert, Brittany (Elliott) Serbus, Brennan (Morgan) Hagert, Cameron (Gina) Maurer, Gavin (Jamie) Maurer, Preston (fiancée Abby Bell) Maurer, and DJ (Ashley) Hillier & Abigayle (Jake) Rahbain; 26 great grandchildren: Ashleigh, Alex & Caroline Hurrle, Aiden, Hudson & Brooklyn Hagert, Ellie Hagert, Brylee & Holden Hagert, Sawyer, Summitt & Walker Serbus, Harrison & Hastings Hagert, Rowan, Lochlan & Conrey McClary, Hayden, Weston & Lincoln Henning, Violet & Oliver Schiller, Grace Maurer, Maddie, Molly & McCoy Maurer, and three great grandchildren on the way; brother Rich (Rita) Wolf of Glenwood; and many other relatives and friends.
