I watched the series "Win the Wilderness" and was instantly drawn into Duane and Rena 's story of hard work and the love of the county. I was deeply saddened to read of her passing. I pray for Duane to keep strong during this difficult time of grief.

Dear John and Mark, We are just reading about Rena's obituary right now. How very sorry we are. Like others, we had seen Rena on Win the Wilderness and got a great sense of her determined and no- nonsense personality. A bright woman for sure. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep in touch. Rena lived her life in her own way on her own terms. It was never easy I’m sure, but who among us have so many physical reminders of our productivity and creativity? I only knew of her, however, she greatly impacted my life and because of her I now know how I want my life to play out...on my own terms. Thank you for that Rena, may God continue to bless your loved ones.

An incredibly sad loss to world and your family. I fell in love watching Rena and Duane through their show so I can only imagine how hard the loss is for those who’s lives you touched personally. You were a beautiful, funny, caring woman who took no nonsense. You will live in the memories of many more people than you realise, people you don’t even know. You lived your dream life and achieved far more than most ever could. You should be proud of all you’ve done. Condolences to Duane and family, the bond of love between Rena and Duane was magical to see and something we all hope for. Sending love to all.
