Richard Theodore Hahn was born December 14, 1934 to Hubert and Rosemary (Stiehm) Hahn in Lamberton, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Lamberton.  Richard attended school in Wanda.  He later moved to Texas, where he enjoyed working as a ranch hand.  While there he also worked at rodeos and in the oil fields.  This is where his nickname “Tex” came from. Richard lived in several communities. On September 2, 1960, he married the love of his life, June Kaus, in Cherokee, Iowa. Richard and June shared a double wedding ceremony with June’s sister and Richard’s brother.  June and Richard lived in Morgan, until moving to Redwood Falls in 1970.  Richard worked as a foreman at Mattison Steel Buildings in Redwood Falls. He later was self-employed as a handy man and helped many families in the area.  Richard loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  To pass the time he enjoyed restoring old cars and traveling.

Richard is survived by his children: Penny (Robert) Christy of Olivia, Linda (Scott) Renkly of Ranchester, WY, Cheri (Craig) Lange of Redwood Falls, and, Richard Jr. (Jennifer) Hahn of Somers, MT; grandchildren: Melissa, Michael, Amanda, Angela, Cody, Christen, and Danica; great grandchildren: Brianna, Brayden, Isabella, Tenley, Ryder, Berklee, Frank IV, Elijah, Avani, and Alexandria; sister, Clara Friese of Redwood Falls; sister-in-law, Elaine Hahn of Fort Benson, MT; brother-in-law, Bob Kaus of Holstein, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
