Ronald “Mick” Maguire, age 92 of Las Vegas, NV formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in Las Vegas.  According to Mick’s wishes no services will be held. Stephens Funeral Service -Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Ronald “Mick” Maguire was born November 27, 1931 to Elias and Gladys (Dammen) Maguire in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1949 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. In 1955, Mick was united in marriage to Audree Arneson in Marshall. Mick owned and operated the Corner Bar in Sanborn from 1955-1962.  He then moved to Bloomington and worked at the Ford Motor Co. from 1962-1967.  In 1967, Mick moved to Redwood Falls where he worked for Control Data and in 1980 he transferred to the European division of CDC.  He later retired to Las Vegas, NV, where he met and married Janice Nelson in May of 1997. Mick enjoyed making small wagers on sporting events that he could watch on TV and loved to travel and hunt.

Ronald is survived by his wife Janice Maguire of Las Vegas; son David (Kathy) Maguire of Redwood Falls; step-children: Rick Nelson & Cyndee Howell both of Florida; grandchildren: Patricia (Justin) Baune of Hutchinson, Caitlin (Craig) Kodet, Taylor (Lyz) Maguire both of Redwood Falls, Landon White, Charles (Chaz) Crain both of Tennessee, Justyn Patrick of Las Vegas, Marshal Maguire of Pennsylvania and Karissa Penske of Redwood Falls; 13 great grandchildren; and several foster great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathy and son Kelly.
