Sally was raised in Redwood Falls and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1950. On September 28, 1951, Sally was united in marriage to Jim Dording at First Presbyterian Church in Brookings, SD. Together the couple lived and farmed in Springfield and Morgan areas, before moving to Redwood Falls in 1968. For 33 years, Sally worked as administrative assistant at the First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. She was very involved in the church, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and helped in many other ways including in the kitchen and at release time. You could often find her in her flower garden or going to her study clubs. Sally enjoyed her trips to Hawaii, Florida, Arizona and New York. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Gophers. Most of all she loved following her sons, daughter and grandchildren in their sporting activities.
